University of California at Davis, postdoctoral fellow
A postdoctoral position is available immediately to apply state of the art techniques to study insulin and adrenergic signaling networks on cardiac hypertrophy, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and heart failure (Circ Res 112(3): 498–509, and PNAS 109(17):6578-83, Diabetes 63(8):2676-89. We apply a broad set of techniques ranging from single molecular (SiMPull) and single cell (FRET and calcium signaling) approaches to understand signaling transduction to in vivo manipulations with genetically modified animal models in our studies.
Ph.D. and/or M.D. with strong background in molecular and cellular biology and in vivo physiology required. Experience with primary cell isolation and culture, and live cell imaging with fluorescence microscope are helpful.
The salary is competitive and based on the NIH scale.
